ARC of Washington Trust Fund

Provided by ARC of WA Trust

The Arc of Washington Trust Fund was established in 1950 to provide funds for research into intellectual and other developmental disabilities. The mission of the Trust Fund is “To support research identifying issues affecting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, to support programs enriching their lives, and to support the education and training of community members working with the I/DD population.” In order to carry out this mission the Trust Fund provides student stipends with the hope that this will enable colleges and universities to attract and retain students interested in working in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities as researchers, teachers or practitioners. Student Stipend Program: The student stipends, up to $5,000 each, are for upper division or graduate students who are or will be attending educational institutions in the state of Washington. Applicants must have a demonstrated interest in the field of intellectual or other developmental disabilities, and plan to continue their career in a way that benefits that I/DD community. Stipends may be used for student tuition, books and general living expenses. Students must be enrolled full-time except for the summer quarter.
