Palmer Sunrise Rotary Challenge Scholarship

Provided by Palmer Scholars

Palmer Scholars has partnered with the Tacoma Sunrise Rotary Club to administer the Palmer Sunrise Rotary Challenge Scholarship (PSRCS). PSRC Scholars will receive all of the benefits of traditional Palmer Scholars, though their scholarship dollars come from the Sunrise Rotary Club Foundation. The PSRCS is open to juniors and seniors enrolled at Lincoln HS, and seeks to identify students who have persevered through significant hardship and are college bound. The submission deadline for the PSRCS is the same as the general Palmer Scholars application Palmer Scholars was founded in 1983 by R. Merle Palmer, a man with an extraordinary vision for the youth of Pierce County. Merle Palmer was committed to seeing that all student were able to attend and graduate from college regardless of their race, ethnicity or socioeconomic status. He started the Palmer Scholars Foundation with this goal in mind. Palmer Scholars has provided scholarships and caring mentors to hundreds of students and we look forward to welcoming our 33rd and 34th cohorts of scholars.
