North Olympic Women on the Water Scholarship

This scholarship is open to women from Clallam County, WA, who are pursuing an education in marine science, or a precursor program to marine science (e.g., zoology, geology, physics, chemistry) with the intent of specializing in marine science, and will be awarded to a student who best fits the following criteria: • Must be a woman. • Must be enrolled fulltime at Peninsula College during scholarship year. • Preference will be given to students who have graduated from a Clallam County high school or are a resident of Clallam County. • Students should provide a statement of their personal goals for a career in marine science and any current or planned involvement in research benefitting the Salish Sea. This statement need not be longer than a paragraph or two. o Preference will be given to applicants who have plans to or are currently participating in research projects in the Salish Sea. * Must submit at least one Letter of Recommendation from high school or college faculty or staff, preferably related to field of study.
