The Otto Walberg Memorial Scholarship Endowment of The Skagit Community Foundation is offering one (1) scholarship this year. Until his death in 1988, Otto Walberg participated in softball-as a player, coach and umpire. He also served his community as a Skagit County Commissioner. Criteria: 1. Applicant must demonstrate leadership, enthusiasm, sportsmanship and economic need. 2. Be a graduating female senior at Anacortes, Burlington-Edison, Concrete, La Conner, Mount Vernon, Sedro- Woolley or Stanwood High Schools. 3. Played softball in high school . The recipient must use the scholarship to attend an accredited technical school, community college, college or university. The Skagit Community Foundation will send the award directly to the school.
