Washington Women in Need (WWIN) makes grants to low-income women in Washington state who are ready for transformational change and looking to build a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities for generations to come. The Education Grant provides up to $5,000 in funding over the course of one calendar year. It can be used to pay for tuition and required books at the approved Washington college or university of your choice (visit our website to see the complete list). Our Education Grant applicants must be female, over 18, a Washington resident for 12 months or more, and meet the following additional criteria: • You must be admitted into or registered at an approved, accredited Washington college/university (find the list on our website). • You must be pursuing your vocational or technical certification, Associate’s, or first Bachelor’s degree. • You must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) before applying. Our application process is online. To apply, visit www.wwin.org and find the link to the online application under "What we do - Apply for an Education Grant". This link will only be available from March 1st through March 31st. After that, the next application cycle will be in the fall of 2018.
